Why College Students Should Live on Campus
There are so many decisions facing a college student today. Having a good living situation is fundamental for happiness, and this of course, pertains to college students too. Therefore, the decision of whether to live on or off campus becomes a very important. There are many advantages to living on campus; it is easy to see why most students prefer living on campus.
Most obviously, living on campus is very convenient. When you live on campus you can walk to your classes (or take the on campus transportation if the campus is very large, which maximizes sleeping time. Meals are easy for students living on campus. Dining halls keep convenient hours and have a wide variety of food. Since a meal plan is almost always included in a housing agreement, students don't have to pay for individually if they live on campus.
One if the nice things about living on campus is that furniture is provided with your dorm room. It is expensive to go to college, and although living on campus is not cheap. Buying furniture is expensive. So not having to furnish an apartment or room is a considerable savings. In addition all maintenance needs (as long as it is considered normal wear and tear) and the cleaning of common bathrooms are done by employees of the school. Also, living on campus is safe. Schools make efforts to ensure their student's safety.
Living on campus is living what a group of peers and potential friends. Everyone on campus has on thing in common; everyone is a student at the same school. Friendships are easy to make on campus. Friends are literally knocking at the door.
